Approaching Capitol Reef Nat'l Park
It is always amazing to see amazing formations standing alone in a field.
I stopped here because there were some view finders that showed some feature names.
I named this one, Eagles Perch.
Close neighbors
Fee, Fie, Foe, Fum
Nice camp spot
Big wall, little waterfall
95* just looking at it made me feel cooler.
Makes for an enjoyable ride
I hated the tar snakes on this road, the ones parallel to your line would make you pucker!
Once inside the park, the road had been re-paved
I could enjoy the scenery more and pay a little less to the road.
I still keep it between the lines. :)
View from the visitor center
A little 10 mile side road from the visitor. 10 in, 10 out.
This area had been settled at one time
If my old bones would co-operate I could do a better job of composing these, but alas...........
Each curve brings a new and different view.
The end of the trail for me. One can continue on dirt if they want and there is no threat of rain.
The canyons are so narrow you would be bashed to death in event of a flash flood.
Had to pay attention in all of the curves, lots of sand.
Some of these look like ancient city walls
Lucky he's leaning that direction
Chimney Rock, different then the NC version.
This has been another excellent blog. Good pictures, interesting comments
