Fred directed me to the Bates Motel,

Also known as the Embassy Inn. One of the worst five list of my motel stays. We've got a room at the Hampton's tonight to help even things out.

Harrisburg VA rest area

I saw at least two people that were keeping the place clean.

I guessed it's height at 300'. It is actually 554'

We made it to Washington DC. I'm not too much into traffic, big cities, or crowds. I took all of these pictures either illegally parked, or going the wrong way. Fortunately the secret service only stared at me.

Just in case you haven't noticed this is very similar to the back of a penny.

There were a lot of these parked around the area. Mostly the occupants were just standing around each other shooting the breeze. I guess expecting them to be attentive was a bit naive on my part.

You can't ride in front of the White house anymore, but if you only accidentally stall your engine in a special place you can sneak a quick pic while trying to restart.

I will say there were some interesting buildings on the way out of town.

I really wanted a shot of some apartment type buildings that reminded me of the Jerry Seinfeld show but traffic wouldn't allow it.

Finally stopping for lunch 20 miles east of DC

Just a quicky from a Mall food court, but pretty good. I couldn't eat all of mine.

The Bay Bridge in Maryland

4.3 miles long

Fred said he was a bit uneasy crossing it at first.

I assumed they don't want you to change lanes while crossing the bridge.
